Erin Pickney, LCSW - Therapist Serving Clients Throughout Tennessee, Utah, and Florida
There are many reasons you may have found your way here. Maybe you are struggling with anxiety or depression and want to learn ways to manage those symptoms differently. You might be struggling with toxic perfectionism and feel like you’re at a breaking point. Maybe you are seeking a secular therapist who can help you recover from a traumatic religious experience or background. Whatever your reasons, I am here to help you make the best decision about your next steps.
If you think you might want to work with me, I recommend looking through my site to learn more about me and the work I do. I’ve provided a lot of information about who I am, who I work with, and what my specialties are. I also have a page explaining my fees, which I update with my sliding scale/reduced fee availability, and a blog post about accessing Out of Network benefits to help make therapy more affordable for those who have benefits. It’s a scary step to reach out to a therapist and most of the clients I work with struggle with anxiety, so I’ve tried to provide as much information as I can to help you get to know me and the work that I do so that you might feel more comfortable when we talk. I am NOT currently accepting new clients. I update my website when that changes, so you know right away.
If you think we’re a good fit, please know that I consult with every client by phone before our first meeting to make sure that I am the best fit for you. You can schedule this by clicking the “Click to Schedule a Consultation Call” button on this page when I have availability. Don’t worry - it’s not scary! I’ll call you at a time you select, and we’ll have a brief conversation about what you want to work on, what you’re looking for in a therapist, and whether your schedule works with mine. If, after our call, we both think we’re a good fit, then we’ll schedule your initial assessment and go from there. Beginning therapy can be scary, and I will do my best to make sure you are as comfortable as you can be through the process.
