Online Therapy for Anxiety, Perfectionism, and Religious Trauma in Tennessee, Utah, Florida, and Ohio
You're making it work. You're showing up for work, for your family, for your friends. You're meeting expectations, holding things together, and from the outside, things probably look pretty good. Underneath all of that competence, there's something you don't talk about much: a quiet exhaustion that doesn't go away, a mind that won't slow down, and a voice that keeps telling you it's not enough, that you're not enough, no matter how much you do or how well you do it.
Maybe it's anxiety that follows you into the evenings and weekends, long after the day is done. Maybe it's a pattern of perfectionism that's driven a lot of your success but is costing you more than you realized. Maybe you're carrying something heavier, like experiences from your past, or messages you absorbed growing up, about who you are and what you deserve, that you haven't been able to fully shake.
You've probably been managing it for a long time. You're really good at managing, but managing isn't the same as actually feeling okay. You deserve more than just getting through it.
I provide online therapy for adults navigating high-functioning anxiety, perfectionism, and religious trauma, including experiences in high-control religious environments. All sessions are held virtually, which means you can do this work from wherever you are on a schedule that fits your life.
If something here resonates, I'd love to talk about whether working together might be a good fit.
How You Might Feel if Virtual Therapy Would Be Helpful to You
Most of the people I work with aren't in crisis. They're functioning — often really well — but something isn't sitting right. They're tired of overthinking everything and never quite being able to relax. They're carrying the lingering weight of trauma, or of growing up in emotionally intense environments that left marks they're still sorting through. Some are untangling religious messages they absorbed over years - messages about who they are, what they deserve, and how to determine their worth. Others are caught in cycles of perfectionism, burnout, or a self-critical inner voice that doesn't seem to quit no matter what they achieve.
If any of that sounds familiar, you're in the right place.
You don't have to keep carrying all of it alone. I work with people navigating anxiety, perfectionism, and religious trauma, and I'd be glad to talk about whether working together might be a good fit.
Fully Online Therapy That Fits Your Life
All of my sessions are held virtually and for the people I work with, that's actually a really good fit.
If you're managing a full schedule, balancing work and family, or just find it hard to carve out time in the middle of a busy day, online therapy removes a lot of the friction that can make starting (or continuing) therapy harder than it needs to be. There's no commute, no waiting room, no rearranging your afternoon. You can show up from your home, your car, or your office - wherever you have a quiet space and a reliable internet connection.
For people dealing with anxiety, there's something worth mentioning: a lot of my clients find it easier to open up when they're in their own space. The comfort of a familiar environment can actually make the work feel more accessible, especially early on. If you’ve got a pet that helps you feel safe, they can join you in session. A lot my clients find that to be one of the biggest perks of meeting online.
Online therapy also tends to work well for people who've been hesitant about therapy in general, whether that's because of scheduling, privacy concerns, or just not being sure they're ready to sit across from someone in person. Virtual sessions offer a bit more control over the experience, and that can matter.
That said, I want to be honest: online therapy isn't the right fit for everyone. If you're in crisis, or if you feel strongly that you need in-person support, it's worth finding a therapist who can offer that. I'm just not able to be that person, and I'd rather you get what you actually need than work with someone who isn't the right match.
If virtual therapy sounds like it could work for you, I'd be glad to talk more about what that looks like in practice.

We Might Be A Good Fit If…
You're thoughtful and self-aware. You've probably spent a lot of time trying to understand yourself: reading, reflecting, maybe even trying to think your way through things that haven't fully resolved. You hold yourself to high standards, and even when things feel overwhelming, you find a way to keep going.
You might be questioning beliefs you've carried for a long time - about who you're supposed to be, how you're supposed to show up, what you owe to other people. Maybe some of those beliefs came from religion, or a community you've moved away from. Maybe they came from family, or from years of learning that love and approval were things you had to earn. Either way, you're starting to notice that some of what you were taught about yourself isn't sitting right anymore.
You're tired of anxiety and pressure being such a constant presence, and some part of you suspects there's more to it than just stress or a busy life. You want to understand where it's coming from, not just manage it.
If that sounds like you, I think we’d work well together.
Therapy with me isn't about fixing what's wrong with you — because nothing is fundamentally wrong with you. It's about making sense of the patterns that developed for real reasons, and building something more sustainable in their place. It's about learning to trust yourself, treat yourself with some of the same care you extend to everyone else, and live the life you actually want — without the weight of impossible expectations telling you it's never quite enough.
You don't have to figure it out alone.

Yes! Virtual therapy is just as effective as in person therapy with the added bonus of being easier to navigate with a busy schedule.
I find that many of my clients have preferred online therapy after an initial period of adjustment because they can be comfortable at home and snuggle up with a favorite pet when talking about hard things. They also feel more freedom to experience their emotions knowing they don’t have to get themselves together for a drive home afterwards.
